Borat

The movie "Borat" is one of the most unique comedies of all time. I am a person who is all for unique things and I love comedy so this was the perfect movie for me to see. Before I saw it I had heard it was funny but no one was particularly crazy about the movie. For most of my friends it was the type of funny where they would never watch it again on their own will. But for me it was the type of humor you had to watch over and over again. There are many different things that can make me laugh. One unique thing about this movie is that the main character, Sacha Baron Cohen who played Borat, did many hilarious things in this movie "by mistake". By that I mean he was in all seriousness in everything he did in this movie as his character. So without saying any intentional jokes the whole movie, he managed to still make the movie very funny. That is why I love this movie so much. In the movie Borat was from a place called Kazakstan. His plan was to go to the United States to gain more information on American culture. So Borat traveled to the U.S. and visited some popular places where he interviewed people and experimented. What made it so funny was all the ridiculous mistakes he was making while experimenting. He would try to do things in the U.S. the way they were done where he was from and everything would just go terribly wrong. For an example, he went to go use the bathroom at a lady's house who he was interviewing. He came back in the room with his bowel movement in a plastic bag and asked her where should he put it. Too funny! Another event was when he went to this parade where he met many friendly men only to later find out he was at a gay pride parade. When a man told him that he then replied "You mean to tell me that the man that tried to stick rubber fist in my anus is a homosexual"? This movie filled me with laughter all because of the many misunderstandings Borat came across in this movie. Sacha Baron Cohen did a wonderful job with the character and I don't think their would have been a better choice for this character than the master of disguise himself.
